Updating Testimonials on Squarespace: A Step-by-Step Guide
How to Easily Update Testimonials on Your Squarespace Website
In today's blog post, we'll walk you through the steps of updating testimonials on your Squarespace website. Whether you're adding new ones or just refreshing the current content, this guide will help you keep your testimonials section fresh and engaging.
Step 1: Log In and Navigate to Testimonials
First things first, you need to log into your Squarespace site. Once you're on your homepage, locate the menu on the side and go to "Pages." Scroll down to find "Not Linked Pages." Here, you'll see an option labeled "Testimonials." This is the section you need to update.
Step 2: Edit the Content
To make changes, click on "Edit Content." It may seem redundant to click "content" multiple times, but that's part of the process. When you're ready to add a new testimonial, simply click "Add."
Step 3: Add an Image
If the testimonial includes an image, and it is already in your library, click on "Select from Library" and find the saved image. Select it, and click "Add" to insert it into the testimonial.
Step 4: Format Your Testimonial
For consistency, copy the description format from an existing testimonial. Highlight the content, copy it using Command + Copy, and paste it in your new list item under "Description." This keeps your format uniform.
Step 5: Add the Testimonial Content
Include the reviewer's name in capitals for clarity. You’ll find new reviews on your Google Reviews page. Pick out the best part of a review—just enough to capture the essence without being too long. For instance, a great excerpt could be: “Her warmth, brilliance, and humor immediately put us at ease.”
Add this snippet to your new testimonial's headline section. A good example of how a full testimonial might read is: “From the moment we met Patricia, we knew she was the perfect person to marry us. We hadn’t even decided what kind of ceremony we wanted, but we absolutely loved every meeting with her in the lead-up to our wedding. They were as joyful and memorable as the day itself.”
Step 6: Save Your Changes
Once you have everything in place, make sure to click "Save and Exit." You'll see your new card displayed at the top of the section.
